Taylor Fauntleroy is a writer, director and creative director from Santa Barbara, CA. His work is deeply rooted in storytelling, even when surreal and seemingly abstract on the surface. He loves comedy and telling stories through metaphor, often relying on emotional realism to abandon reality in favor of surreal camera, lighting and editing techniques that heighten the internal experience of the character. As a creative director he leans towards world building, most recently creating a nihilistic retro space world for Glass Animals “I Love You So F****** Much” album cycle and “World Tour of Earth.”
His roots in storytelling have enabled him to feel at home directing comedy, drama, and documentary with clients and talents such as Nike, Apple Music, Eminem, Usher, Kid Cudi, Jimmy O. Yang, Jessica Chastain, Glass Animals, SoFi Bank, Lil Yachty and many more.
He’s also a former collegiate athlete who has begun to integrate his sports acumen in basketball, golf, snowboarding, volleyball and many other sports into his work. He recently shot national spots with NBA Champion, Jayson Tatum, and PGA Tour Winner, Wyndham Clark, for SoFi.
